Head St. Scholastica Women's Hockey Coach Jackie MacMillan will be the head coach of the U.S. National Deaf Women's Hockey Team at the 2017 World Deaf Hockey Championships in New York in April.

The World Deaf Hockey Championships will take place April 19-29 at the NorthTown Center in Amherst, New York. This will be the first time women's teams will be competing at the event. The U.S. will face Canada in two exhibition games during the championships.

MacMillan has been the only coach in the St. Scholastica women's hockey program's history. Now in her seventh season guiding the Saints, she has accumulated 75 wins and has made five straight Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NHCA) postseason appearances.

Tryouts will take place March 24-26 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. Anyone who is interested in participating in this event must go to the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association (AHIHA) webpage and sign up for the World Deaf Hockey Championship at this link.
