The State of Hockey will be well represented in this year's National Hockey League postseason, as, in addition to the Wild, more than 20 Minnesota-born players are set to participate. Many more who were not born in Minnesota but played in the state at some point in their careers - such as Washington's T.J. Oshie and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby and Phil Kessel - are also on active playoff team rosters (per NHL.com).
The Wild and New York Islanders have the most Minnesota-born skaters on their active rosters with four apiece. Of the 16 teams to qualify for the playoffs, all but four have a player born in the State of Hockey on their roster.
