Minnesota Youth Hockey State Tournaments Face Off March 11-13

The Minnesota high school hockey state tournaments have come and gone, but tourney season for the state's best youth teams is just getting started. 

Beginning this week, community-based teams from across the state will battle each other for championships, as exciting regional competitions determined the final brackets for teams at the Junior Gold, Bantam, Peewee, 15U and 12U levels.

Minnesota Hockey’s 14 State Tournaments, the signature events of the #Drive2State, will take place at eight locations across Minnesota, March 11-13, 2016.

MINNESOTA HOCKEY TOURNAMENTS APP

The Minnesota Hockey Tournaments app will provide players, parents, coaches and fans with instant access to updates and highlights from the 2016 Region and State Tournaments taking place throughout Minnesota.

With the app, users will be able to quickly and easily view a variety of tournament details on their mobile device. Players and coaches can receive the latest scores, stats and bracket updates from their tournament while also keeping an eye on other teams from their association. Plus, family members will be able to experience the tournaments from anywhere in the world by participating on Minnesota Hockey’s Social Stream, which allows users to share photos and videos of their time at Region and State Tournaments.

The mobile app is available in the App Store and on Google Play. Search for “Minnesota Hockey Tournaments” and download the app for all of the latest details on the 2016 Minnesota Hockey Region and State Tournaments.

LIVE VIDEO OF STATE TOURNAMENT GAMES ON MSBN

Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network (MSBN) will broadcast 58 games during the 2016 Minnesota Hockey State Tournaments.

Minnesota Hockey is once again teaming up with the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network (MSBN) to provide live video broadcasts of the 2016 State Tournaments on March 11-13. Parents, relatives and fans will have the opportunity to catch all of the live action from the comfort of their home.

MSBN will provide video coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals, third place games and championship games of the following state tournaments:

  • Junior Gold A (Edina)
  • Bantam AA (Stillwater)
  • Bantam A (Stillwater)
  • Peewee AA (Grand Rapids)
  • Peewee A (Greenway)
  • 15U A (Burnsville)
  • 12U A (Cottage Grove)

In addition, MSBN will broadcast the championship games of the Junior Gold B & 16 State Tournaments from Braemar Arena in Edina. 

MSBN will also be providing participants the ability to purchase DVDs of the tournament games. The DVDs will be on sale at each site for a cost of $15 and will be mailed out following the tournament.
