Warroad boasts the state’s leading scorer in junior Mariah Gardner (33-49-82) and another of the state’s top scorers in sophomore Madison Oelkers (29-37-66). The Warriors outscored Detroit Lakes and 2015 Class 1A champion Thief River Falls 13-2 in the Section 8A playoffs.
Junior Brynn Puppe (13-14-27) and senior Anne Hargis (16-10-26) lead the Raiders in scoring. Sophomore goaltender Mallpry Tidona has played in every game for Northfield, posting a goals-against-average of 1.65 and a save percentage of .927.
No. 3 St. Paul United (Sec. 4A, 21-5-1) vs. Alexandria (Sec. 6A, 18-7-1) - Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1 p.m.
The United is another team with a high-scoring offense, with six players scoring 27 or more points during the regular season. Junior Joie Phelps leads the United in scoring with 24 goals and 53 points. Phelps is committed to Cornell.
Seven players have totaled double-digit points during the regular season, giving the Cardinals a balanced scoring attack. This is Alexandria’s fourth consecutive trip the State Tournament.

The Bears triumphed over longtime rival Breck in the Section 2A finals, earning their fourth consecutive trip the State Tournament. Ms. Hockey Finalist Carly Bullock (48-16-64) leads a Blake offense that has outscored opponents 121-29 this season. Bullock is committed to Princeton.
Senior Makayla Sterrett (42-39-81) leads the high-scoring Cardinals, who have eight players with 10 or more points. Senior Madisyn Dingmann (36-28-64) and junior Mariah Aukes (39-25-64) supplement the offense.
No. 4 Proctor/Hermantown (Sec. 7A, 19-7-1) vs. No. 5 New Prague (Sec. 2A, 17-9-1) - Wednesday, Feb. 17, 8 p.m.
Proctor/Hermantown is led by senior goaltender Amy Lemanager, who posted five shutouts in the regular season, and blanked Hibbing/Chisholm 3-0 in the Section 7A finals. Junior Callie Hoff (21-26-47) leads the Miracle in scoring.
The high-scoring duo of sophomore and Minnesota commit Catie Skaja (31-38-69) and senior Jordan Anderson (31-27-58) balance a Trojan offense that outscored its Section 2A opponents 11-2 in two games.
