Minnesota Duluth Men Win Third Straight

D1 Women

1. Minnesota (25-3-1)

The Gophers continue to dominate, having not lost a game since Dec. 5 to Wisconsin. Over the weekend, sparked by the return of Amanda Kessel, the Gophers defeated and tied North Dakota, posting two shutouts.

2. Bemidji State (18-9-3)

After being swept by Minnesota two weeks ago, the Beavers bounced back with a shootout win in game one and a 4-1 victory in game two over St. Cloud State.

3. Minnesota Duluth (12-17-1)

The Bulldogs have won their last three games, including a weekend sweep of Minnesota State.

4. St. Cloud State (12-14-2)

After winning three straight games in early January, the Huskies have since dropped their last six games. The Huskies have been shut out in three of those losses.

5. Minnesota State (3-23-4)

The Mavericks were swept by Minnesota Duluth over the weekend. The schedule only gets tougher in the last two series of the season, when the Bulldogs will face Wisconsin and Bemidji State.

D1 Men

1. St. Cloud State (23-6-1)

After taking the title at the 2016 North Star College Cup, the Huskies split last weekend’s series with Miami (Ohio). The loss in the series finale snapped the Huskies’ seven-game unbeaten streak.

2. Minnesota Duluth (11-11-5)

The Bulldogs have won their last three games, including a series sweep of Colorado College over the weekend.

3. Minnesota State (15-10-5)

After winning four of their last five games, the Mavericks split the weekend’s series with Bowling Green.

4. Minnesota (14-13-0)

After coming off a series split with Penn State this weekend, the Gophers have lost three of their last four games.

5. Bemidji State (11-11-5)

The Beavers fell in the finals of the North Star College Cup on Jan. 31, and do not play again until Feb. 9.

D3 Women

1. St. Thomas (14-5-1)

The Tommies are reeling after losing four of their last five games, but salvaged a series split with Concordia over the weekend.

2. Augsburg (12-7-2)

The Auggies swept Hamline this weekend, shutting out the Pipers in impressive 5-0 and 4-0 wins.

3. Concordia (11-9-1)

Losers of four of their last six games, the Cobbers shut out St. Thomas 1-0 in the series finale over the weekend to salvage a series split.

4. Bethel (10-9-2)

The Royals have won four of their last six games, and split the weekend’s series with St. Olaf.

5. Gustavus (8-9-4)

The Gusties split a series with St. Mary’s over the weekend, winning the first game 3-2 and losing the finale 2-0. The Gusties have won five of their last seven games.

D3 Men

1. St. Scholastica (14-5-2)

The Saints rebounded from a 3-2 loss to Concordia (Wis.) in the series opener with a 5-1 win in the finale.

2. Augsburg (14-6-1)

The Auggies are coming off back-to-back series sweeps of St. Mary’s and Hamline, running their unbeaten streak to six games.

3. St. Thomas (11-6-4)

Unbeaten in their last five games, the Tommies swept Concordia on the road over the weekend by scores of 5-3 and 4-3.

4. St. John’s (8-9-4)

After winning three straight games, the Johnnies have not played since Jan. 30.

5. St. Mary’s (9-12-2)

The Cardinals split with Gustavus over the weekend, winning the first game 4-1 and dropping the second 5-2.
