The Minnesota Wild will open its 2018 training camp on Friday, Sept. 14, at Xcel Energy Center. The team will hold an open practice for fans on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m. as part of the “Flood The Rink” events taking place that day. Fans can enter Xcel Energy Center through Gates 1 and 2 beginning at 8:45 a.m. The Wild training camp roster currently consists of 61 players.

Wild regular season single-game tickets will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, and at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Minnesota opens the 2018-19 regular season at Colorado on Oct. 4 and hosts the Vegas Golden Knights in the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center.

The Wild’s “Flood The Rink” events will help create the ice for the 2018-19 NHL season. In portable containers – a maximum of three ounces of water – fans can contribute their water into a Zamboni located inside Gate 1 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fan-provided water will be filtered and used the following day to help make ice at Xcel Energy Center.

At the start of the 2017-18 season, the Minnesota Wild unveiled a new tradition, This Is Our Ice, calling upon fans to contribute water from their local hockey ponds, lakes and rinks to be filtered and frozen into the Xcel Energy Center ice sheet. This year the team is challenging its fans to collect water from all 10,000+ lakes in Minnesota.

Wild fans can participate in the 10,000 Lakes Challenge by collecting their meaningful water and bringing it to the “Flood the Rink” event on Sept. 15, or any home game during the season. Fans can then track their contributions on the This Is Our Ice webpage on wild.com, which features data from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ Lake Finder tool.

Fans who contribute water on Sept. 15 will receive a This Is Our Ice jersey patch and fans who contribute water from a Minnesota lake will receive a 10,000 Lakes Challenge t-shirt, while supplies last. All fans that contribute water will also be entered for a chance to win tickets to the Wild game on March 25 vs. Nashville.

While participating in the 10,000 Lakes Challenge requires fans to bring water from a lake, all fans are once again encouraged to bring water from their favorite pond, river or ice rink to contribute during the season.
