Da Beauty League announced the schedule for its 2018 season which kick off Wednesday, July 11. Da Beauty League will continue to feature fast 4-on-4 action. Games are played every Wednesday in July and Monday and Wednesday in August. All games will be played at Braemar Arena in Edina. The season will conclude with the playoff semifinals on August 20 and the championship game on August 22.

Da Beauty League includes three games consecutively each night starting at 5:30 p.m., with the final game ending around 9:30 p.m. The games will consist of two 23-minute running halves. Da Beauty League’s 2017 season was capped by a historic championship victory by RBC with the presentation of the John Scott Cup. The Cup, like the man himself, is a big mug of prestige. Beyond being the Commissioner of Da Beauty League, Scott is well known for his prowess as an NHL enforcer and the 2016 NHL All-Star MVP. Scott is a true beauty and the inspiration for Da Beauty League logo.

NHL Stars and Premier Amateurs
The six Beauty League teams are led by captains Brock Boeser, Dustin Byfuglien, Erik Haula, Jake Guentzel, Anders Lee and the MVP from last year’s season, Alex Goligoski. Da Beauty League will again cap off the season with a charity jersey auction where fans can have the chance to bid on their favorite Beauty League star’s jerseys. Over a dozen top NCAA players will also strap on the skates with the big boys.

Da Beauty League will feature premier coaches including some former NHL stars. Each coach will lead a team through the regular season and pursue trades to earn their respective team the John Scott Cup.

“Now that the winter season champs have been determined, it’s time to come and watch Da Boys chase and compete for the second best trophy in sports, da John Scott Cup,” said Ben Hankinson of Da Beauty League.

Sponsors
Da Beauty League also announced the six-team sponsors: BIC Corporation, RBC Wealth Management, Tradition Companies, TRIA Orthopedic Center, Velocity Training Center and Walser Automotive. Our beauties will be dressed in their sponsor jerseys and ready to hit the ice to compete for da John Scott Cup!

Charities
A key element of the annual league is the continued commitment to serve the community.

The 2018 official charity partners are:

• United Heroes League, an organization that seeks to keep military kids healthy and active through sports while their parents are serving the nation.

• Shine A Ligh7, a foundation focused on improving the quality of life for youth by distributing funds to non-profit organizations who share the mission in improving the lives of children while promoting their social emotional and behavior health.

• Herb Brooks Foundation, a foundation that seeks to grow the game and to produce more American players with world-class skills. The foundation advocates for the sport while focusing on youth development.

As official partners, all organizations will receive additional exposure of their good work and a platform to promote their key objectives. Many of the participating athletes work throughout the year in support of the three organizations.

Force Multiply, Inc. of Minneapolis, led by founder Lou Raiola, will manage the official charity partners. Force Multiply is the strategic advisor for Community Relations & Social Responsibility for the League.
