16 Minnesotans listed on NHL Central Scouting Rankings

The 2018 NHL Entry Draft takes place June 22-23 in Dallas.

Sixteen Minnesota natives have been listed on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

The list includes five players who played high school hockey in Minnesota during the 2017-18 season, eight in the USHL (including two with the U.S. National Team Development Program), two in the WHL and one in the NCHC.

U.S. Under-18 Team defenseman K’Andre Miller (Hopkins) leads the Minnesotans on the list at No. 23 on the North American Skaters rankings, followed by Chicago (USHL) left wing Blake McLaughlin (Grand Rapids) at No. 24. A pair of high school forwards – Jack Perbix (Elk River) and Jack Jensen (Eden Prairie) are ranked 96th and 98th, respectively.

Muskegon (USHL) goalie Keegan Karki (St. Cloud) is No. 5 on the North American Goalies rankings, followed by Waterloo (USHL) netminder Jared Moe (New Prague) at No. 10.
