2018 Minnesota Hockey State Tournaments

The annual youth hockey state tournaments are underway across the State of Hockey

The Drive to State continues this weekend with the 2018 Minnesota Hockey State Tournament presented by Chevy! The 14 State Tournaments will be played at nine locations throughout Minnesota beginning Friday, March 16 and concluding with championship games on Sunday, March 18. 

As the peak of the youth hockey season, these tournaments provide our players with memories that last a lifetime. Stop by one of the locations listed below and feel the excitement as these kids leave their mark on the legacy that is state hockey tournaments in Minnesota.

Junior Gold A, B & 16U – Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN
Bantam A & AA – Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis, MN
Bantam B & Peewee B – Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud, MN
Peewee A & AA – Essentia Health Heritage Sports Center in Duluth, MN
Girls 19U – St. Croix Valley Recreation Center in Stillwater, MN 
Girls 15U A – Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center & Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls, MN
Girls 15U B – HealthEast Sports Center in Woodbury, MN
Girls 12U A – Eden Prairie Community Center in Eden Prairie, MN
Girls 12U B – Doug Woog Arena in South St. Paul, MN

2018 State Tournaments to be broadcast live!

Minnesota Hockey is once again teaming up with the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network (MSBN) to provide live video broadcasts of the 2018 State Tournaments, powered by Chevy, on March 16-18. Parents, relatives and fans will have the opportunity to catch all of the live action from the comfort of their home.

MSBN will provide video coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals, third place games and championship games of the following state tournaments:
• Junior Gold A (Blaine)
• Bantam AA (Minneapolis)
• Bantam A (Minneapolis)
• Peewee AA (Duluth)
• Peewee A (Duluth)
• 15U A (Thief River Falls)
• 12U A (Eden Prairie)

In addition, MSBN will broadcast the championship games of the Junior Gold B & 16 State Tournaments from Fogerty Arena in Blaine.  In total, MSBN and Minnesota Hockey will be video broadcasting 58 games during this year’s state tournament weekend.

Follow State Tournaments on mobile app

The Minnesota Hockey Tournaments app will provide players, parents, coaches and fans with instant access to updates and highlights from the 2018 State Tournaments taking place throughout Minnesota.

The State Tournaments are one of the most exciting times in youth hockey as community-based teams from across the state battle each other for the right to call themselves a true state champion. The Minnesota Hockey Tournaments app will further enhance this already memorable experience by enabling participants to access tournament information faster than ever before.

With the app, users will be able to quickly and easily view a variety of tournament details on their mobile device. Players and coaches can receive the latest scores, stats and bracket updates from their tournament while also keeping an eye on other teams from their association. Plus, family members will be able to experience the tournaments from anywhere in the world by participating on our Social Stream, which allows users to share photos and videos of their time at the State Tournaments.
