The second season of Da Beauty League came to a close on Wednesday night, as Team RBC snuck past Velocity 4-2 at Braemar Ice Arena.
Velocity opened the scoring in the first half, as Minnesota’s most recent Mr. Hockey Casey Mittelstadt notched a goal on assists from Brock Boeser and Chris Butler.
RBC would answer in the second frame, with Nick Bjugstad igniting a scoring barrage that saw RBC take a 4-1 lead into the game’s final minutes.
Stu Bickel, T.J. Oshie and Alex Goligoski each tallied one goal for RBC before Velocity’s Drew Stafford tacked on a second goal with just four minutes remaining.
The win was RBC’s second over Velocity, a team it defeated 9-6 on Aug. 9.
