As part of Children’s Dental Health Month in February, the Minnesota Wild joined Associated Bank in kicking off “Stock the Box for Healthy Smiles,” a campaign to help children and adults in the Twin Cities area in need of dental supplies.

The campaign was launched at the Wild-Blackhawks game at Xcel Energy Center on Feb. 8. More than 650 dental items and $225 were collected from fans for Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities' Hope Dental Clinic, which provides free dental services to community members in the greater Twin Cities area.

“Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is pleased to be the recipient of these dental products that will help children and adults in the Twin Cities area who need them most,” said Jessica Flotterud, executive director of Hope Dental Clinic at Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities. “These supplies will be provided to our patients at the clinic, at pediatric and adult treatment events, and our outreach program that serves 1,000 preschoolers in Ramsey County each school year.”

The campaign will continue through Feb. 24 at Minnesota and western Wisconsin Associated Bank branches and corporate locations. Those interested in donating new dental supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouth rinse (preferable alcohol-free) are encouraged to bring items to their local, participating Associated Bank branch.
