Fourteen Minnesotans Appear in NHL Central Scouting's 2016 Midterm Rankings

Edina's Bellows, Blaine's Tufte, Grand Rapids' Mattson Among Top 50 North American Skaters

The National Hockey League Central Scouting Midterm Rankings have been unveiled, and as expected, several Minnesotans appear on the lists. Edina’s Kieffer Bellows is the highest-graded of the 14 Minnesota natives to be ranked, landing at No. 12 among North American Skaters.

Blaine’s Riley Tufte (17th) and Mitchell Mattson from Grand Rapids (49th) were the other Minnesotans to be listed in the top 50.

Other ranked skaters from the State of Hockey included:

Ryan Lindgren (Minneapolis, 51st), Joey Anderson (Roseville, 52nd), Max Zimmer (Medina, 66th), Michael Graham (Eden Prairie, 85th), Scott Perunovich (Hibbing, 109th), Rem Pitlick (Plymouth, 141st), Tyler Jette (Farmington, 168th), Sam Rossini (Inver Grove Heights, 175th), Dylan Malmquist (Edina, 195th), Wyatt Aamodt (Hermantown, 210th).

Peter Thome (Minneapolis) was also included, ranking 19th among North American goaltenders. St. Thomas Academy's Billy Jerry, who is from River Falls, Wis., ranked 188th among North American skaters.

London Knights forward Matthew Tkachuk, son of former NHL star Keith Tkachuk, was the No. 1 ranked North American skater.
