WAYZATA BANTAM AA DEFEATS WHITE BEAR LAKE FOR EDINA INVITE TITLE

Behind 30 saves by Danny Fraga, Wayzata edged White Bear Lake 2-1 in the finals of the Edina Invitational on Sunday night. The Trojans went 4-1-0 in Pool Play, with their only loss coming at the hands of White Bear Lake on New Year’s Eve. Joel Matthews finished second in the Bantam AA division in scoring with four goals and 12 points.

APPLE VALLEY TAKES PEEWEE AA/A SHOWDOWN CROWN

The Eagles posted three shutouts en route to the Bloomington Peewee Showdown title, including a 3-0 win over Tartan in the semifinals and a 4-0 victory over Bloomington Jefferson in the finals.

OSSEO/MAPLE GROVE ROMPS TO SQUIRT EXTRAVAGANZA WIN

OMG outscored opponents 31-4 in four games to win the OMGHA Squirt Extravaganza Tournament. The scoring barrage included a 10-1 win in the championship game over Rosemount, which had won its first three games of the tournament.
