Proctor-Hermantown Sports All-American Girls Peewee Crown

Proctor-Hermantown scored five straight third period goals to beat the Thunder Bay Queens 6-4 and claim the All-American Girls Championship at Xcel Energy Center. The Mirage were powered by Michaela Phinney and Alyssa Watkins, who both scored two goals down the stretch. Andover took the 10A and 15A titles. Eden Prairie Wins Own Bantam AA Tourney With Thrilling Finish

Eden Prairie won its pool and advanced to the semifinals of its own Thanksgiving tournament, where the Eagles met Sibley, ranked No. 3 in the Youth Hockey Hub NOW Rankings. The Eagles managed to tie the game with 37 seconds left, and then won it after the teams slugged it out for three overtimes.

If that weren’t enough, the No. 5 ranked Eagles followed the triple overtime win with a victory over last year’s state champion and this year’s current No. 1 team, Minnetonka, to take home the championship.

Osseo-Maple Grove Peewee AA Rolls to First Test of the Best Title

No. 1 ranked Osseo-Maple Grove rolled through pool play, outscoring opponents 21-4 in the process in the Eden Prairie First Test of the Best Tournament. The Leafbirds downed St. Cloud in the semifinals and Eden Prairie in the finals by identical 8-0 scores.

Kyle Kukkonen had a hat-trick in the championship game, while Chris Kernan and Brock Faber scored two goals each.

Edina Green 15UA Outlasts Wayzata Blue to Win Cake Eaters Classic

Fittingly, Edina Green took the 15UA title at the Edina Cake Eaters Classic. The Hornets tied Minnetonka in their second game of pool play, and then won their next three in a row. The title game pitted Edina against Wayzata Blue, and the Hornets were able to hold off a late surge by the Trojans to claim the crown 3-2.

Andover edged host Edina 3-1 to take the 12UA title, with Peyton Hemp, Gabby Karuse and Sara Kaiser each scoring a goal in the championship game. Andover is currently ranked No. 1 in the state.
