Minnetonka Bantam AA stays hot without Docter, Kittleson

Ranked No. 2 in the statewide Youth Hockey Hub Bantam AA NOW Rankings, the Skippers now face the tall task of hanging on to the top spot without players Grant Docter and A.J. Kittleson. Docter opted to forego his last year of bantam eligibility to play for the Minnetonka High School varsity, while Kittleson is skating for the Holy Family Catholic varsity squad.

Despite their absence, the Skippers have rattled off nine straight wins since a 2-2 tie with No. 3-ranked Blaine on Oct. 23, with no team coming within two goals in that span. The last three victories have been shutouts for the Skippers.

Stillwater Bantam A lives up to No. 1 billing

The Ponies have defended their top ranking in dominant style, winning their last nine games since tying White Bear Lake 1-1 on Nov. 1 by a combined score of 45-5. That stretch has included wins over No. 19 Mounds View-Irondale (8-0) and No. 4 Wayzata (2-1).

Princeton Bantam A takes Breezy Point Tournament title

Princeton cruised to the Breezy Point Tournament Bantam A crown with a 7-1 win over Sauk Rapids in the finals. The Tigers entered the championship game after going undefeated in Pool B with wins over Armstrong/Cooper (6-4), Centennial (7-0) and Northern Lakes (10-2).
