D1 Men

1. St. Cloud State (9-3-0)

The Huskies have stabilized at the No. 7 ranking in the U.S. College Hockey Online national poll, the highest ranking of any of the Minnesota collegiate teams. Kalle Kossila has proven to be a gifted distributor of the puck, racking up 11 assists and 13 points in just 12 games.

2. Minnesota-Duluth (5-5-3)

The No. 17-ranked Bulldogs shut out Colorado College 5-0 and 6-0 on Nov. 20th and 21st respectively to snap a five-game winless streak. Austin Farley and Tony Cameranesi have been the offensive catalysts thus far, posting 13 points apiece.

3. Minnesota State-Mankato (6-6-2)

The Mavericks got votes in the latest national poll, thanks in part to a weekend sweep of Northern Michigan. Casey Nelson is the lone double-digit scorer for the Mavericks with 10 points.

4. Minnesota (4-5-0)

Winners of four of their last six games, the Gophers are showing some life at this point of the season. Both losses in that six-game span were by just one goal to Notre Dame (4-3) and Minnesota State (3-2 OT).

5. Bemidji State (2-6-3)

Graeme McCormack has been the lone bright spot for the Beavers, scoring four goals and totaling nine points through 11 games. The Beavers are coming off a split with Lake Superior State over the past weekend.

1. St. Scholastica (4-1-1)

The Saints are winners of their past three games, including a sweep of Northland this past weekend.

2. St. Mary’s (4-2-2)

Unbeaten in six games since losing their first two, the Cardinals are seeing great offensive production from the trio of Martin Gruse (14 points), Bob Kinne (12 points) and Jay Heinle (11 points).

3. St. Thomas (4-2-2)

The special teams play of the Tommies has been impressive. The power play unit has posted a 25 percent success rate, while the penalty kill has kept opponents off the board at 90 percent.

4. Augsburg (4-4-0)

The Auggies had a three-game winning streak snapped in an overtime loss to Gustavus Adolphus over the weekend. That game marks the third overtime contest the Auggies have had to play this season.

The Cobbers are 2-0 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, but have dropped their last two non-conference games.
