18 games to be played in four days

The USPHL Premier’s Midwest West Division will be in the spotlight at the USPHL Midwest Showcase, an annual event held at Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine, Minnesota, hosted by the Minnesota Moose.

The eight Midwest West Division teams will be joined by the Mountain Division’s Pueblo Bulls, giving the showcase a field of nine teams that will do battle over the course of 18 games between Thursday, Oct. 28 (first puck drop at 12:10 p.m. CST between the Hudson Havoc and Steele County Blades) and Sunday, Oct. 31 (final puck drop at 5:30 p.m. CST between the host Moose and the Pueblo Bulls).

The Showcase will provide a great opportunity for teams to be scouted by NCAA and ACHA teams from throughout the Midwest and beyond, and is part of the USPHL Showcase Series.

“The goal of the Midwest Showcase is to provide the player an experience to remember. The purpose of having the showcase in Minnesota is to allow all access to scouts,” said Moose Head Coach and General Manager Jon Jonasson. “We will be rolling out the red carpet for teams in attendance and scouts. With this there will be a social media experience added from Joe Ruhland, with whom we partnered for the showcase. Player Interviews, Scout Interviews, Highlight Videos and an All Showcase team will be introduced this year to amp up the showcase experience.”

The Midwest Showcase is launching a next level social media experience for each team participating in the Midwest Showcase starting Thursday. This is the perfect venue to capture top level talent aligned with a powerful social experience customized for each team.

“Our goal is to elevate the experience of the Midwest Showcase to the next level, by infusing a showcase solution with a pop, presence, and a purpose to benefit the players, teams, fans, and family of our teams and the USPHL,” said Jonasson.

Highly interactive interviews will be conducted with two players from each team and a coach immediately after each game. Once the interviews are finalized with team graphics and names, the shareable social media content will be transferred to each team’s social network manager to post.

Dedicated and enriched experiences, optimizing social media in a positive, professional avenue that sustains the performance momentum beyond the ice.

The 2021 Midwest Showcase will also be naming a Best in Showcase Team following the game on Sunday evening. The team will consist of three forwards, two defensemen and a goalie.

Fans, players, teams, and families can interact with the showcase on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #MidwestShowcase
