State of Hockey: How did you get into hockey?
Jack Smith: A friend of my dad who played hockey took me to open skate.

SOH: Who has had the biggest influence on you as a hockey player?
JS: My dad. He taught me how to be a hard worker which motivated me to work to be a great hockey player.

SOH: Favorite hockey memory?
JS: Winning The Tourney with St. Cloud Cathedral.

SOH: Favorite Minnesota hockey road trip?
JS: East Grand Forks

SOH: Describe your game...
JS: I'm a hard, skill forward who plays a 200-foot game with a motor. I can also create plays up and down the ice.

SOH: What sport(s) do you play besides hockey?
JS: Golf
