Ryan Suter had a goal and two assists, and Alex Stalock made 35 saves to help the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday.

Jared Spurgeon had a goal and an assist, and Daniel Winnik and Chris Stewart also scored for the Wild (2-2-2), who have started the season with five of six games on the road and are without injured forwards Zach Parise (undisclosed), Nino Niederreiter (ankle sprain), Charlie Coyle (fibula fracture), Mikael Granlund (groin) and Landon Ferraro (hip flexor).

"We're so shorthanded, and for us to find ways to win is what it's all about right now," Suter said. "We're doing a good job at that. Hopefully we can continue that."

Stewart joined Andrew Brunette (seven games, 2009-10) and Pavol Demitra (six games, 2006-07) as the third player in Wild history to get at least one point in each of the first six games of a season.

"He's on fire right now," Suter said. "I think we have four of our top six out right now and having a guy like him step up and put the puck in the net is huge. Hopefully he can keep that going because I think our guys are going to be out for a while.
