As Da Beauty League closes in on its regular-season finale, Team TRIA has staked its claim to the top seed in the DBL playoffs.

Behind a five-point performance by Jake Guentzel, TRIA cruised to a 10-5 win over RBC on Monday night, giving the squad three straight victories en route to the top spot in the standings.

Guentzel racked up four goals and one assist in the win, an effort supplemented by four-point nights by Brock Nelson and Jake Gardiner. Both Nelson and Gardiner had four assists for TRIA, while Nick Leddy scored two goals. Mike Reilly, Taylor Richart, Vinni Lettieri and Parker Reno all chipped in one tally.

Nick Bjugstad led RBC with a hat trick in the loss.

Walser scored five unanswered goals to eclipse Tradition on Monday, eking out a 9-7 win. Brock Boeser and Hunter Warner each scored twice for Walser, while Dustin Byfuglien, Calvin Spencer, Keaton Thompson, Chris Porter and Shane Gerisch all scored once each. Gerisch added three assists in the win.

Anders Lee paced Tradition with two goals and two assists.

Steve Johnson took Velocity to the promised land of victory with three goals and a pair of assists, and Kyle Okposo also turned in a five-point performance for Velocity.

The final evening of games of the DBL’s regular season will be played on Wednesday night as always at Braemar Ice Arena in Edina.
