Six Minnesotans Named to U.S. Under-17 Select Team

Team to Compete in Five Nations Tournament in Ostrava, Czech Republic in Late August

Six Minnesotans have made the roster for the U.S. Under-17 Select Team that will skate in the Five Nations Tournament in Ostrava, Czech Republic, August 23-27.

USA Hockey today revealed the full roster and coaching staff, which will be led by Head Coach Pat Ferschweiler from Rochester, Minn.

State of Hockey natives making the team include: Jake Boltmann, D, Edina; Mike Koster, D, Chaska; Robert Christy, F, St. Paul; Jake Hale, F, Minneapolis; Grant Silianoff, F, Edina and Ethan Haider, G, Maple Grove.

The U.S. Under-17 Select Team chose players from the Boys' Select 16 Player Development Camp.

Team USA will be competing alongside the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland at this year's Five Nations Tournament. The U.S., which defeated Germany 9-2 to win the 2016 Five Nations Tournament, has finished first in five of the last six events.
