Edina native Kieffer Bellows came up big in the same city his father Brian once won a Stanley Cup, scoring two goals to help lead the U.S. to a 5-4 Gold-medal clinching victory over Canada in the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship in Montreal on Thursday night.

Bellows' third period goal, his second of the night, stalled Canada's momentum and cut the host team's lead to 4-3. Colin White tied the score less than three minutes later, and the teams remained deadlocked following regulation and a 20 minute overtime period.

True to form, Team USA's Troy Terry scored the lone goal in the shootout, clinching the first Gold for the U.S. since 2013. U.S. goaltender Tyler Parsons was stellar, making 46 saves in the win.
