Prince-loving Minnesota Wild fans will get their wish this coming season. The Minnesota Wild announced today the team will change its goal song to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy!" at Xcel Energy Center starting this season in response to feedback the team received from a survey it sent to season ticket holders this summer.

“Our in-arena experience is designed for the fans, so it's great to be able to show them we take their feedback to heart,” said John Maher, vice president of brand, content and communications for the Minnesota Wild. “At the same time, it's our privilege to celebrate an iconic hometown artist that clearly has had an incredible impact on our community and the world.”

The Minnesota Wild decided to poll season ticket holders after the team played the song in the same manner during Game 6 of its Stanley Cup Playoff Series against the Dallas Stars on April 24, a few days following the legendary artist's sudden passing. The survey was sent to all Minnesota Wild season ticket and partial plan holders, who voted nearly 2-to-1 in favor of the change. The Wild also received a substantial number of calls, emails and social media comments from fans.
