CHAMPIONSHIP RECAPS

2003: Steeldogs Teal scored four goals in the first period and never looked back, adding three in the second and three in the third to cruise to the 10-1 victory.

Liffrig finished an outstanding tournament with two goals and three assists on Sunday. Triston Tabucol was named championship game Most Valuable Player for Steeldogs Teal, scoring a pure hatty in the second period to put the game out of reach for the Capitals.

2005: Machine Orange jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two periods, and then managed to stifle a Euro American Red comeback attempt to emerge as champions by a 5-2 score.

Drew Stewart, Charlie Owens and Sam Scheetz all scored for Machine Orange in the first period, with Javon Moore passing out two assists in the first frame.

Ben Pfannenstein and Lucas Kickhofel scored in the second for Machine, as the boys in Orange were forced to kill four penalties.

Euro American Red got on the board 16 seconds into the third on a goal by Beck Picconatto, and then cut the Machine lead to three when Wes Berg scored midway through the third.

With a goal and an assist in the championship game, MVP went to Machine Orange's Lucas Kickhofel.
