On the receiving end of Minnesota Duluth’s inspired play, the Beavers fell in the first round of the WCHA playoffs.

The Huskies were dispatched in the first round of the WCHA playoffs after a pair of 6-1 losses to North Dakota.

MEN’S DIVISION III UPDATE
Hamline upended Concordia 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs, but the Pipers’ magic ended with a 5-2 loss to regular season champion Augsburg in the semifinals.
St. John’s edged St. Thomas in the second semifinal 2-1, setting up a MIAC championship between St. John’s and Augsburg for March 5.
WOMEN’S DIVISION III UPDATE
A pair of one goal wins sets the stage for the women’s MIAC final to be played between Bethel and St. Thomas. Bethel defeated Augsburg 1-0 in overtime, and St. Thomas edged Concordia 2-1 in the other semifinal. Concordia made the semifinals by beating St. Mary’s 3-1 in the quarterfinal.
